What is Japanese Tsubo Therapy

Tsubo points correspond to the muscles, blood vessels, nerves, lymph vessels and glands of the endocrine system that lie beneath the skin.

How Does Tsubo Work

Pressing on Tsubo points stimulates the skin and nerves and relieves muscle tension, it stimulates the blood and lymphatic system, and stimulates the body’s natural recuperative ability.The Tsubo points lie along the fourteen meridian system, twelve basic paired organ system, lung & large intestine, stomach & spleen, heart & small intestine, kidney & bladder pericardium & triple heater, liver & gall bladder meridians, and the two control system governing vessel & conception vessel. The Tsubo points on the human body are found in places that are physically weak areas of the body where the nerves emerge from the muscles or sometimes found along the meridian channel these points are sometimes called Ashi points, Ashi means ouch or sore point The Shiatsu Practitioner will palpate the area of discomfort or pain and will treat the affected Tsubo points, or may use moxa or cupping to relieve the symptoms
